PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind receiving blade that can rotate a windmill at a higher wind speed than the wind velocity by utilizing wind that is received at the wind receiving blade as rotary thrust efficiently. SOLUTION: This wind receiving blade 1 for a windmill mounted vertically on a circumference of a rotating body 5 comprises a mounting support 2 and a wind receiving portion 3 where, at the front, the left side surface is set to be gradually thinner from the vertical central portion upward and downward and upper and lower edge portions are inclined to the left side respectively to form an inclination portion 3a, and on a plane, the left-side front edge component is formed to be swollen together with the inclination portion 3a and thinner gradually toward the rear portion and at rotation, a negative pressure is generated in an area of the left-side (inner) front edge portion of the wind-receiving portion 3 to apply the rotary thrust forward and inward.
