<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered hollow shaft by which a ball hit direction is stabilized and a player has a good feeling, while keeping strength though it is light-weight. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft includes: a bias layer obtained by inclining the carbon fiber orientation direction of a carbon fiber reinforced resin sheet by±30 to 60°with respect to a shaft longitudinal direction, and laminating it on the whole shaft; and a straight layer obtained by allowing the orientation direction to be substantially in parallel with the inclination not more than±5°with respect to the longitudinal direction, and laminating it on the whole shaft. Hybrid prepreg obtained by combining PAN-based carbon fiber with pitch-based carbon fiber is used for a bias reinforcing layer at the tip end of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
