PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of offtrack and the reduction of a transfer rate in a hard disk drive caused by rotational disturbances in a portable device incorporating the hard disk drive. SOLUTION: A hard disk drive 19 is freely rotatably supported on the bearing 21 of the main body 2 of the portable device coaxially to the rotational center of a pivot bearing 36. A dummy weight 39 is arranged in the drive to match the position of a center of gravity on the dual axis thereof with the above rotational center. Additionally, an angular velocity sensor 25 for detecting an angular velocity generated in the drive by rotational disturbances is attached to the drive. In order to cancel the angular velocity of the drive caused by the rotational disturbances and detected by the angular velocity sensor 25, a CPU 20 converts the detected angular velocity into the controlled variable of drive rotationally-driving, and controls a drive rotationally-driving mechanism 28 by the control signal to apply the angular velocity of a reverse direction to the drive.
