PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always constantly and certainly carry out tightening for fixing a cross rail to a roof rail in a roof rack capable of loading a baggage on a roof of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the roof rack 1, an engagement part 33 is arranged at a lower surface side of the roof rail 3 and a groove 32 is formed on an upper surface side of the roof rail 3 over a longitudinal direction of the roof rail 3. A mounting member 35 for fixing the roof rail 3 to the roof 10 is insertable from the groove 32 and a roof mold 6 is arranged in the groove 32. In the mountable roof rack 1, mounting of a bracket 5 to the roof 10 and mounting of the roof 10 to the bracket 5 can be carried out from the outside the vehicle. Therefore, it is not entirely required that interior parts are disengaged and they can be easily mounted to the vehicle. The groove 32 formed on the upper surface of the roof rail 3 utilized at the mounting is covered with the roof mold 6 after completion of the mounting work and an appearance is not impaired. Since the engagement part 33 is provided on the lower surface of the roof rail 3, dusts are hardly deposited thereon and do not form obstruction and certain engagement of an engagement hook 41 is always ensured.
