CORD BRAKE FOR CURTAIN, AND DROP CURTAIN EQUIPPED WITH SUCH CORD BRAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord brake which is more easily manufactured from fewer parts. SOLUTION: At least one brake roller 18 is movably journalled in this cord brake with a housing 10 through which a pulling part 5 is penetrated to operate a suspension part 4. The brake roller 18 fastens the pulling part 5 at a first position and releases at a second position and is connected to a reversing device 26 with a guide curve 25 placed in a wall part 21 of the housing 10 and a guide part 24 cooperating the guide curve 25. The guide part 24 is movably journalled by a support member 23. The guide curve 25 is placed so that the support member 23 gives sufficiently no load on the wall part 21 upon force action in the radial direction on the brake roller 18 of the pulling part 5.
