The return element (4) is transversally positioned at the front of the u-shaped staples magazine (1) and guide (2) and inserted with its outer ends into slightly inclined recesses (5) in the vertical segments (6) of the guide (2). It is provided with a central groove serving as a guide for the helical spring (3) and two lateral surrounding grooves in order to engage safely with the edges of the recesses (5).
