The demonstration work table has a spray protection plate (3) on the rear side of the work table surface, for protecting the students, which can act as a back projection screen, onto which images can be projected via an image projection system (5,6,7) housed in the space below the work table surface. The spray protection plate can be provided by a foil sandwiched between 2 glass panels, the rear projection screen function used for providing a display monitor for a personal computer.
