A silencer capable of surely performing muffling treatment while a size is reduced, comprising a housing formed in a flat casing and having an air layer formed therein for performing the muffling treatment and hole parts formed in the housing so as to communicate with the air layer and allowing sound wave causing noise to be led therein, wherein the hole parts are formed near the outer peripheral side of the housing so that the sound wave causing noise advances along a surface in the housing.
