<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet image forming medium which has a shorter drying time, high optical density, and enables an image having an excellent color area to be recorded and manufacture at a relatively low cost while not requiring a simultaneously extruding capability but being able to be manufactured with an existing machine for a polyester film. <P>SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording element is provided by including a micro-void containing layer prepared by dispersing a crosslinked organic microbeads and an uncrosslinked polymer particle in a polyester matrix with a continuous phase.
