<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen donor capable of generating a large amount of hydrogen and a practicable hydrogen storage and transport method capable of generating a large amount of hydrogen at a higher rate. <P>SOLUTION: Hydrogen is stored and transported by irradiating a hydrogen donor comprising at least two organic hydrogen-donating compounds with a microwave in the presence of an alkali compound and an inorganic catalyst.
