<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve explanation information corresponding to a headword of a formal inscription, irrespective of formality in the inscription of a retrieval word, when words meaning the same content different only in the inscriptions are stored respectively as inscription words. <P>SOLUTION: This information display controller has an information storage means for storing the inscription words and the explanation information for the words while correlated each other, an inscription word selecting means for selecting the inscription words, and a symbol retrieving means for retrieving another inscription symbol indicating that the inscription word of the another inscription is stored in the information storage means, out of the explanation information corresponding to the inscription word selected by the inscription word selecting means. The controller is further provided with a display control means for conducting control to display the explanation information corresponding to the new inscription word together with the explanation information corresponding to the inscription word selected by the inscription word selecting means, on the same screen, using the word continued to the another inscription symbol in the explanation information as the new inscription word, when retrieving the another inscription symbol by the symbol retrieving means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
