PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a robust heat exchanger of both high-temperature oxidizing resistance and low thermal coefficient of linear expansion. SOLUTION: Components for a heat exchanger are formed by depositing a nickel coating layer 3 on a surface of a base metal 5 made of ferritic stainless steel, the components are assembled via a brazing filler metal 4, placed in a high-temperature furnace to diffuse the composition of the nickel coating layer 3 and the base metal 5, and the brazing filler metal 4 is melted to manufacture the heat exchanger.
