PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fetch an identification key, included in user contents stored as a computer readable format, to search a database managed in-house, and to output "reading" consisting of a title and an artist or the like and notify the user. SOLUTION: On a mass storage device for a music server, a database, from which the reading for describing a title, the artist or the like, can be searched, is installed. (A set for the reading) is downloaded for newly accepted music content from a database service provider, who receives a TOC, and the like, via the Internet, and provides the reading. A file name for the content is automatically numbered out of (the set for the reading) by Katakana, for example, and added to the above database. Out of a plurality of Katakana, Hiragana, Roman alphabet writings utilizing a mixture of Kanji and other characters, and the like, which comprise "the set for the reading", a possible and appropriate one is displayed on a display device.
