PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an intake control valve from breaking or the characteristic from changing at vibration welding or to assure the sealing property between components in a resin-made surge tank having the intake control valve that is broken up into a plurality of pieces and the pieces are joined to each other by vibration welding. SOLUTION: A partition wall 19 is placed in the horizontal direction within a surge tank 2 to divide the surge tank 2 into first and second chambers. The surge tank 2 is divided into a resin-made middle piece 14 with the partition wall 19 formed therewith, a resin-made lower piece 15, and a resin-made upper piece 16 and those pieces are formed by joining to each other by vibration welding. A communication hole 24 is formed on the partition wall 19 to communicate the first and the second chambers with each other and a valve element 26 is formed on the hole 24 to open and close the hole 24. There is provided drive means 11 for controlling opening/closing of the valve element 26 on the outer surface of the middle piece 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
