PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-skid material which is low in costs, sprayable on an ordinary roadway in a cold temperature area where the outside air temperature in winter is very severe and low, and available even on a high-standard road of a porous structure, and particularly an anti-skid material which is low in snow melting effect but excellent in reliable immediate effectiveness. SOLUTION: The anti-skid material is produced by mixing at least one of rock powder and a composition mainly containing an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal, with a water-soluble or a biodegradable binder, and then drying and granulating the resultant mixture. The binder may be formed of starch. The composition mainly containing the alkali metal or the alkaline earth metal may contain, as a main raw material, lime cake generated in the process of refining beet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
