PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an epoxy-modified silicone resin composition which has a high silicone group content, is curable with heat, light, or the like, is excellent in transparency, and gives a cured item sufficiently exhibiting the characteristics of a silicone resin; and to provide its application. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains (A) a compound having a group formed by reacting a carboxyl group with a vinyl ether and (B) an epoxy-modified silicone resin. The compound (A) is prepared by reacting the carboxyl-group-containing compound with the vinyl ether. The epoxy-modified silicone resin (B) has an epoxy equivalent of 180-2,000 g/equivalent. The weight ratio of the compound (A), having the group represented by formula (1), to the epoxy-modified silicone resin (B) is 0.2-5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
