PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method by which the crack on the surface of a cast slab containing Cu, Ni and Sn can be prevented without specially arranging a large-scaled apparatus. SOLUTION: In the continuous casting method, by which molten steel is poured into a mold and the cast slab is continuously drawn out from the lower part of the mold while charging the mold powder on the surface of the molten steel, the mold whose inner surface shape near the surface of the molten steel is formed as the reverse tapered shape widened toward the lower part in the drawing-out direction of the cast slab, is used and also, the mold flux having≤900°C crystallizing temperature or non-crystallized characteristic is used.
