PURPOSE: A weed cutter is provided to improve safety for user by preventing damage on user in advance due to separation or breakdown of blade or flying away of a stone bumped against the blade, which are easy to be generated in using a rotation-type weed cutter. CONSTITUTION: The weed cutter includes: a power unit which generates a rotatory power by having an engine, and is formed to be carried on the back of user; a transferring unit(200) to transfer the rotatory power from the power unit; and a cut-off unit to go and return a cutting blade(330) close to a fixed blade(320) with a saw tooth-shape in a predetermined distance by a driving unit(310) which receives the rotary power from the transferring unit(200) and converts the rotary power to a straight return movement. Thus, the weed cutter cuts weed by operating a return movement of the cutting blade(330) in a predetermined distance, by improving the rotation-type weed cutter causing a dangerous accident.
