<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic irrigation system of simple construction, capable of intermittently feeding water( and a liquid fertilizer ) necessary for crops in a water-saving way according to weather circumstances( solar radiation ) on the day in question irrespective of the size of irrigating area. <P>SOLUTION: The irrigation system works as follows: Water at a water source 40 is pumped up by a motor pump 20 whose mechanical power depends on only the electric power from a solar panel 10 and stored in a water storage tank 30; when a specified quantity of the water is stored in the tank 30, all of the water stored is continuously discharged by a relevant means 50, wherein the discharging cycle is repeated in proportion to solar radiation, and the water is brought to a to-be-irrigated place via a tubular irrigation channel. In this irrigation system, total irrigation quantity is proportional to solar radiation, and if necessary, a liquid fertilizer mixer 70 may be used simultaneously. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
