<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variation in a traveling driving force when a clutch between a motor and a drive axle is disengaged, set timing with which the clutch is disengaged in a high-speed range, and prevent overheating in the motor. <P>SOLUTION: When the speed of a hybrid vehicle is increased, the driving force of a first motor is gradually reduced based on the vehicle speed V before the vehicle speed V reaches a vehicle speed threshold V1. When the vehicle speed V is not less than the vehicle speed threshold V1, the driving force of the first motor is set to zero. With the vehicle speed V being not lower than the vehicle speed threshold V1 taken as at least one condition, a third clutch with which the first motor is connected is disengaged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
