ACID TREATMENT EQUIPMENT FOR PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid treatment equipment for a plate glass by which the quality of the plate glass such as a large-sized or thin plate glass is improved and the plate glass is quickly and effectively treated with acid. SOLUTION: The acid treatment equipment for the plate glass is provided with a free roller 20 supporting the lower end of the plate glass in the erected state, an acid treatment roller 19 vertically provided to face one surface of the plate glass and having a surface part formed from a porous material, an acid treatment liquid supply apparatus for supplying an acid treatment liquid to the surface part of the acid treatment roller 19, an acid treatment apparatus 6 having a motor 18 rotary driving the acid treatment roller 19, a washing apparatus 3 mounted in the upstream side of the acid treatment roller 19 and a cleaning apparatus 7 mounted in the downstream side. The acid treatment apparatus is constituted so as to transport the plate glass G while being in contact with the acid treatment liquid on the surface of the acid treatment roller 19 by the rotation of the acid treatment 19.
