摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detecting device that detects the presence/absence of a liquid level in a transparent pipe 8 by using light and can maintain a stable light quantity without being affected by the wall thickness nor outside dimension of the pipe 8. SOLUTION: By using a quartz-made transparent pipe 8, the received light quantity used for detecting the presence/absence of a liquid is stably maintained regardless of the wall thickness or outside dimension of the transparent pipe 8 by disposing a light emitting axis 16 and a light receiving axis 17 in a plane perpendicular to the center axis of the pipe 8 so that the axes 16 and 17 may be directed toward the center axis of the pipe 8 and may cross each other at the angles of 90°.
