PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire, which can improve wet performance and groove crack resistance, and to provide a mold for molding the tire. SOLUTION: In this pneumatic tire, the surface roughness of at least a part of the inner surface of a groove 1 provided at a tread part is not more than 1.4μm as measured with a tracer type surface roughness meter. This pneumatic tire is prepared by molding using a mold for tire molding in which at least a part of the surface of protrusions for the formation of grooves provided on the surface of the tread has been subjected to surface treatment by chemical polishing.
