PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the connection between a measurement unit and a pump, and to prevent the pump from being contaminated by the sample of the measurement unit. SOLUTION: A sample analyzer comprises a fluid substrate that detachably mounts the measurement unit having a sample channel for allowing a sample to flow, and has a first channel, where one end is connected to the sample channel; a pump installation member having a second channel, where one end is connected to the other end of the first channel; a pump connected to the other end of the second channel being installed at the pump installation member; a control section for controlling the pump so that pressure is supplied into the sample channel and the sample is transported in the measurement unit; a measurement section for measuring the characteristics of the sample being transported in the measurement unit; and an analysis section for analyzing the sample according to a measurement result.
