PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stripping material capable of easily stripping even a solid image formed on versatile plain paper with image forming substances capable of achieving high image quality, without using a stripping liquid (without swelling the image support) or causing damage. SOLUTION: The stripping material is used for removing an image formed on an image support and contains a substance capable of reducing the adhesion of a recording material comprising image forming substances to the image support upon heating by existence between the image support and the recording material when the recorded image is heated and stripped.
