PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate existence or a cause of the occurrence of failure appearing in the impact noise contained in the noise of various devices, and to easily cope with the impact noise of a sheet material. SOLUTION: This sound source diagnosing device is provided with a sound collecting unit 1 for collecting the sound 7 from an object 8 to be diagnosed for evaluation, a wave form extracting unit 2 for computing/extracting the sound wave form collected by the sound collecting unit 1, a space distance computing unit 3 for computing a space distance of the sound wave form to be evaluated in a reference space 4 per a cause displayed with a plurality of previously registered reference sound wave forms, a reference space renewing unit 5 for renewing the reference space 4 per a cause by taking the sound wave form, which is obtained by one or more sound sources as the objects 8 of diagnosis several times when renewing the predetermined mode, to the previously registered reference space 4 per a cause, and an analysis determining unit 6 for analyzing to determine the sound 7 to be evaluated on the basis of a result of the distance computing output from the space distance computing unit 3.
