The apparatus to mark a position on a surface (1), or give brightening or fluorescence measurements, has at least one light bundle unit (3) with a proximal and a distal end (4,5). The light emitted by a lamp (8) enters the proximal end to pass to the distal end of the unit, giving a light beam to pass through a lens (2) and illuminate the surface. The light bundle unit has at least one optic fiber or a fiber bundle (3a) to carry the illuminating light forward, and an optic fiber bundle (3b) to carry reflected light back to a detection unit (9). An assembly of moving mirrors can deflect the light from the bundle unit through the lens.
