<p>Opening in a support, particularly motor vehicle bodywork, is closed by a member (1) which is manufactured and joined to a seal (2) in a 2-component injection moulding process. The seal is inserted in a groove (3) and is preferably in the form of a seal ring on the outer periphery of the closure member. The portion of the seal ring projecting above the groove may be higher (H) than the groove depth (T) or lower. The cross-section of the groove may be oval, semicircular, rectangular or polygonal and the seal ring may be of similar cross sections. Simple, rapid and low-cost manufacturing method.</p> |
