<p>The invention relates to a method for depositing a hard coating on one or several parts (10) in an empty area (1), said hard coating being formed by a combination of at least one oxide layer and a stack of thin layers of various compounds from a group including nitrides, carbides, carbonitrates based on at least one transition element and,optionally, at least one transition element, characterized in that said method comprises the following steps: the stack is deposited by a physical deposition method in a vapor phase based on at least two first sources of vaporization, different contents inside the area and then deposition of the oxide layer on the stack by means of physical deposition in an ionized vapor phase based on at least one second vaporization source (8) which is different from the two first sources, contained in said area. The invention can be more particularly used for wear-resistant coatings for cutting tools.</p> |
