A radial roller bearing with an outer ring (2a, 2b) and an inner ring (3a, 3b), a number of roller bodies (4a, 4b) rotatably arranged between the outer roller track (6a, 6b) and the inner track (7a, 7b), and a cage (5a, 5b), which is arranged between the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring and the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring and which has a number of recesses or pockets for rotatably accommodating and retaining a number of roller bodies. The roller bearing is designed on the basis of the following relationships 1.5 x 10 -3 = H = 9.0 x 10 -3 D, and A/B = 0.6 - 1.0, in which D is the diameter of the peripheral surface of the cage, H is the height of the annular gap (9) between the peripheral surface of the cage and the peripheral surfaces of the rings (2a, 2b), and A is the axial length of the peripheral surface of the cage and B is equal to the axial length of the peripheral surface of the rings (2a, 2b).
