<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance response when such a response as reduction steady operation is required because switching loss increases when an acceleration/deceleration current is supplied. <P>SOLUTION: Switching period is lengthened when a large acceleration/deceleration current is required to be supplied and the switching period is shortened when a steady current is not required to be supplied.
