PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide light capable of facilitating the operation of an operation part of a communication part. SOLUTION: This guide light is equipped, in an appliance 1, with: a light source for making a display panel emit light; a power source 4 for emergency; an A.C.-D.C. lighting device 6 for lighting the light source by feeding power from a commercial power source connected through a terminal 5 for power in a normal time, and for lighting the power source by supplying power from the power source 4 in an emergency time; the communication part 8 having the operation part 7 for carrying out setting, and used for receiving a signal for executing a check from an external communication terminal and for transmitting the result of the check to the external communication terminal; and a signal terminal 9 for connecting the communication part 8 to the external communication terminal.
