PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device which can be made compact and in which electrical connection between the outside and a piezoelectric vibrating element housed inside a case can be surely performed, a manufacturing method therefor, a portable telephone and electronic equipment each utilizing the piezoelectric device. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric device is provided with: a frame 51; a piezoelectric vibrating element 52 which is provided inside the frame and integrated therewith and in which an exciting electrode for driving is formed; an upper case 31 and a lower case 41 fixed to hold the frame therebetween; case side electrode parts 32, 33 extending from through holes 36, 37 opened on an upper surface of the upper case to lateral sides of the upper case and the lower case; lateral electrode parts 34, 35 connected with the case side electrode parts and provided on the lateral sides of the upper case and the lower case; and packaging electrode parts 42, 43 connected with the lateral electrode parts and provided on the base of the lower case. The through holes and pullout electrodes 57, 58 provided in the piezoelectric vibrating element and connected with the exciting electrode are connected by an electric conductor 64.
