PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of preventing Internet connection for a long time or vast amounts of data from being transmitted and received. SOLUTION: This portable terminal is provided with a storing part 20 for storing communication time limit information 21 set to limit a user's speech communication time or communication charge, communication limit charge information 22 and user's password information 23, and a control part 10 for measuring a communication passing time or communication charge, performing an notification operation to the user when the communication passing time or communication charge exceeds information shown by the communication limit charge information 22 and making an input request for a password. The control part 10 performs control that disconnects communication when an input password acquired from the user is different from the password information 23 or when the input password can not be acquired from the user.
