摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus capable of recording a video image for a long time by effectively utilizing a limited recording capacity without decreasing a frame rate in the case of recording the video image. SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus is provided with: a data compression part 101 for compressing a video image from a supervisory camera sequentially in units of frames; a stream control part 103 for sequentially recording stream data comprising a series of frames sequentially outputted from the data compression part 101 to a recording part 102; and a control part 105 for applying thinning processing to the stream data recorded in the recording part 105 at a higher frame thinning rate as stream data whose lapse of time is longer after the initial recording. Through the configuration above, the thinning processing is applied to the stream data having been recorded in the recording part 102 at a lower frame thinning rate for newer data and at a higher frame thinning rate for older data.
