PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for enhancing a frequency-temperature characteristic and a CI-temperature characteristic of a high frequency piezoelectric vibrator. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator is configured by disposing opposed electrodes on both principal sides of a piezoelectric substrate and by employing a plate back amount greater than that expressed in a relation ofΔ=(2×F)<SP>1/2</SP>-3, whereΔ(%) is a plate back amount by the electrodes and F(MHz) is a resonance frequency of the piezoelectric vibrator.
