PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide blocks for constructing a retaining wall highly suitable for shortening of the construction period of time and its retaining wall construction structure which is adaptable for high productivity in a factory and saves labor of the construction works at a construction site. SOLUTION: A front wall 2 spreading laterally and vertically with the breadthwise dimension W and the vertical dimension H and a pair of buttresses 3, 3 with depth D extending outward with a specified distance in the breadthwise direction of the front wall are integrally molded to form the block 1 for constructing the retaining wall. A depth additional buttress member for additionally constructing in the depth direction or a rear wall member for closing the rear opening side of the pair of buttresses is connected in the depth direction or respective spaces of blocks adjacent breadthwise to each other are connected to each other, Connecting means 4 for these connections are provided.
