PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ground reinforcing material which can be naturally decomposed ( returned to soil) through elapse of a specified time interval in the ground. SOLUTION: The ground reinforcing material 6 is constituted of a sheet-shaped core material 7 mixed with a biodegradable resin and filters 8, 9 made of a biodegradable nonwoven fabric, respectively laminated on the obverse and reverse faces of the core material 7. Protrusions 10 whose surface comes into contact with the rear faces 8a, 9a of the filters 8, 9 and recessions 11 separated from the rear faces 8a, 9a of the filters 8, 9 are alternately formed in the longitudinal direction in the core material 7.
