PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of overlapping both side end parts of a sheet-like article so as to wind them around a rod-shaped body to integrally weld the overlapped parts stably and accurately. SOLUTION: This sealing device has a function for providing the sheet-like article A between straight rod-shaped bodies provided in parallel under tension, and comprises a base plate 2 arranged between both side frame parts of a machine stand 1, holding parts 3 and 4 arranged along both outside ends of the base stand 2 to hold the both side parts of the sheet-like article extending to the outside from the base plate and the rod-shaped bodies B placed on both side parts thereof, and a welding means 6 for folding back both side end parts of the sheet-like article protruded to the outside from the holding parts 3 and 4 inwardly from above centering around the rod-shaped bodies B held to the holding parts as a support and welding the sheet parts superposed on both side parts of the sheet-like article inside from the rod-shaped bodies over the total length thereof to form the cylindrical part wound around the rod-shaped bodies.
