<p>The electromagnetic ventilated friction safety brake for adding to a drive motor or gear comprises a spring loaded two-piece armature disc (6,7) axially movable relative to the brake housing (1), two magnetic coils (2,3) adjacent to the armature disc, and a cup-shaped driving wheel (17) connected to a brake rotor (13). The brake housing is constructed as a bearing end plate (A) which at the same time serves as the housing for the magnetic coils and spring assemblies (4,5). The bearing plate has a central extension (B) axially projecting on one side to form an outer bearing journal (C) for the mounting of the cup-shaped driving wheel.</p> |
