<p>The present invention provides a self-cleaning filter system (10) that includes filter media (18), with raw fluid supplied thereto by water hose inlet (28) which feeds water to diffuser (16) as controlled by diverter and piston arrangement (14). When a cleaning cycle is initiated by controller (24), cleaning fluid is supplied to reciprocating spray head (12) that sprays cleaning water over filter media (18). Filter media (18) is mounted on pivotal water diverter (22), that mounts the filter media (18) in an orientation to direct fluid passing therethrough to either filtered outlet (32) or water drain outlet (34).</p> |
