A first flat textile layer(13) and second flat textile layer(20) of a fleece material are joined together with a foam layer(30) between them. The foam layer is flame coated to give a specific minimum thickness. An Independent claim is included for a process for manufacturing textile material(10) in which: a) a foam layer(30) is applied onto one side a first flat textile layer(13); b) the foam layer thickness is reduced to a minimum by heating; c) a second textile layer(20) is applied.
