An exhaust-gas purifying apparatus includes a metallic mantle (1), a plurality of metallic supports (2,2'), and a catalytic layer (12). The supports (2,2') are fixed at predetermined intervals in the mantle (1). The catalytic layer (12) is loaded on the inner peripheral surface of the mantle (1) and the surface of the supports. Not only the exhaust-gas purifying apparatus can maintain the high exhaust-gas purifying ability, but also is improved in terms of the longevity because it is inhibited from corroding.
