A plastics film device (1) for use in roll frame (10) has continuous band (2) looped around ≥ 2 deflection rolls for pressing and cooling film against roll (9) of frame and are rotatably mounted on both sides in lateral bearing devices. Fastening mechanisms are provided for fixing the deflection rolls in the bearing device and the other bearing device is pivotably mounted for exchange of the band. An Independent claim is also included for a process for changing continuous band for pressing and cooling plastics film against roll and in which the deflection rolls are fixed in the bearing device and the fastening mechanisms of the other bearing device are released and the other bearing device is pivoted so that the band can be laterally extracted.
