PURPOSE: Provided are a water purifying machine controlling water supplying amount according to cooking menu and a method for controlling the water supplying amount by using the same which reduce unnecessary waste of purified water by controlling the amount of discharged purified water according to the cooking menu and optimize the amount of water according to the cooking menu. CONSTITUTION: The machine (100) comprises a water purifying unit (60) to purify raw water, a water storage tank (70) storing the purified water by the water purifying unit, a water supplying cock (95) discharging the purified water stored in the water storage tank to the outside, a watercourse (75) to carry the water in the water storage tank to the water supplying cock and a water supplying amount controlling unit (85) to control the amount of the purified water discharged through the water supplying cock according to the desired water supplying amount determined by the cooking information inputted by users.
