Both lever carriers can move axially along the tire construction drum and can be moved synchronously towards each other in the axial direction (8) via a base spindle (5). A hollow spindle is located around the base spindle and its rotation can be coupled to the latter via a clutch. The hollow spindle can be stopped by a braking unit.
