PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing the coated layer of a glass plate is provided, to remove the coated layer formed on the edge of a glass plate adhered to the both sides of a space bar before a pair glass is prepared, thereby improving the adhesion between a space bar and glass plates. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a base(10) set at bottom; a safety receiving frame(20) which is set at the upper part of the base, can be tilted back and forth by a working cylinder(30) and has a safety receiving plate(40) where a glass plate is loaded; a first guide rail(70) which is set left and right in front part of the safety receiving frame; a first stripper(90) which moves left and right along the first guide rail to remove the coated layer formed on the edge of a glass plate loaded on the safety receiving plate; a transfer means which is set at one side in front part of the safety receiving frame to transfer the first stripper left and right; and optionally a ventilation pan(60) which is set in the based to blow a strong wind to the lower face of the glass plate through a plurality of holes formed on the safety receiving plate.
