PURPOSE:To effectively prevent heat generated by friction from being transferred even to an operating element such as oil, and simplify the structure and a manufacturing process in a brake or clutch of a vehicle or various machinery. CONSTITUTION:A friction part 1 is constituted of a support member 3 and a friction member 2 fixingly laminated on the support member 3. At least a part of the support member 3 is composed of heat insulating metal having a heat conductivity of 0.04cal/cm sec deg.C or less such as a high Ni iron alloy. In a heat insulating hydraulic piston, at least a part of a piston member is constituted of the same heat insulating metal. |
