<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive image information at a low cost from the network facsimile equipment installed at a remote place by making a call to an opposite terminal of stored destination information upon the receipt of polling transmission image information and sending received polling transmission image information. SOLUTION: A group 3 facsimile equipment FGA connecting to a public network PSTN conducts polling reception operation to a network facsimile equipment FXA while designating a network facsimile equipment FXB as an image information acquisition destination. That is, the polling reception operation to designate the network facsimile equipment FXB placed at a remote place as the image information acquisition destination is conducted. The group 3 facsimile equipment FGA receives image information from the network facsimile equipment at a remote place without the use of the public network PSTN through the polling reception as above. Therefore, the communication cost is remarkably reduced.</p> |
