PURPOSE: A tape printer is provided to improve convenience of a user by enabling the display and the print of support information according to requirement of the user. CONSTITUTION: A tape printer includes a support storage unit(85), a selection unit, a display unit(46), and a first control unit(16). The support storage unit(85) previously stores support information regarding the tape printer. The selection unit selects predetermined information from among the support information stored in the support storage unit(85). The display unit(46) displays the support information. The control unit(16) reads the support information selected by the selection unit from the selection unit and displays the support information on the display unit(46). The support information includes information which is not displayed on the display unit(46).
